ABOUT THE BOOK
Life stood still when our four month old daughter, Celeste Williams, was diagnosed with Sagittal Synostosis. In plain words, her skull fused shut before her brain was fully developed. She was born with a closed skull.
This was considered an emergency procedure' because according to research in human development, her brain was expected to grow nearly eighty percent within the first eighteen months of her life.
All the strength in the world was not enough to carry the burden of fear, hopelessness and desperation I felt when I learned that Celeste required open-head surgery.
So, I turned to God.
THE AUTHOR
Sherna Williams was born and raised in the Caribbean. She is a devoted wife to her husband, mother to her three daughters and a dedicated School Psychologist in Southern Indiana. Above all else, Sherna takes pride in her personal relationship with Jesus and hungers to touch hearts near and far.
She hopes her openness and vulnerability will serve as a testament of God's promise that the weapons will form but they will not prosper.
She hopes to encourage her readers to brave the difficult seasons in their lives because just as pressure turns coal into diamonds, total surrender within the unknown births an incredibly authentic form of spiritual intimacy with God.
